Tenoreo has next week off from work, which will be very strange for me. She’s usually bugging me to watch a movie with her when she’s home, so I hope I can get proper work done. If next comic weren’t the 200 special, I’d make a comic about it. Ah, well. Later, later.
Oh yeah, did I mention I’ll be doing another story-arc for the 200the comic? I’ll try to keep it shorter than the– what? 10 pages the 100-comic special was?

@brice, It’s fine that you don’t get this one. For the most part, all of these are obscure power ups (carrot from Super Mario Land) or throwable items (onion and turnip from Super Mario Bros 2). Since these are all old from non-main mario games (sorta) and haven’t really been used since (with the exception of the turnip, which has shown up in SSB as Peach’s down+b and in Captain Toad Treasure Tracker), it’s perfectly understandable to not get this joke. Of course, the punchline is that zucchini has never been in a mario game (well… except for a mario kart vehicle body in Mario Kart 7, but I highly doubt this has anything to do with the joke as it’s such an overtly obscure reference in comparison).

Aw, sorry! I’m always fumbling through the darkness called “how much should I or shouldn’t I explain this joke?” and sometimes I just, uh… fumble.
