The self-proclaimed tyrannical dictator of Dreamland. Few oppose or question King Dedede’s position, despite no one knowing where he actually came from. Perhaps this is because his schemes typically involve small-time things, such as stealing food or hammering a few Waddle Dees, at the worst. Only when the King takes up a more large-scale goal (see:”Star Rod Debacle”) does Kirby step in to intervene.
While grumpy, violent, and generally incorrigible; Kirby and Dedede share many similarities between themselves. One would think these common interests might spark a friendship, but rather, they almost always turn into some form of competition. The few exceptions to these occurances, however, suggest that the king may actually have an innocent heart.
